So who the heck am I, anyway??

I am first and foremost Mother to Ian, and Wife and Partner to frothingslosh71. They are the best part of my life.

I have taught Music for nearly 15 years in the public schools of PA and CA. I've taught everything from elementary general to high school marching band. I love music, and I love teaching and working with kids of all ages. I am currently taking a break from full-time teaching to be a Mom to Ian, but hope to return to teaching once he goes to school full time. I do coach part-time, helping out with a local marching band as the assistant director.

I've been involved with the Society for Creative Anachronism for over 8 years. It seems the longer I'm involved, the more things draw me in. I've been using the SCA as an art, music and teaching outlet since becoming a stay-at-home mom. Locally I'm involved with the Canton of Westland Mor, which is part of the Barony of St. Swithin's Bog. I am Rachel both inside and outside the SCA...keeps things easier that way! :D
